米里亚姆·海瑞恩女士当选大学理事会成员

Miriam Häring, president of Anton Häring KG, is now offering a professional perspective for the University Council of the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Villingen-Schwenningen.

"I am already looking forward to the creative opportunities and responsibilities as a member of the DHBW's decision-making body," says Miriam Häring, delighted about her election. New programs and learning material, adjustments to the teaching and examination regulations, the election of the rectorate, protectorate and dean's office - all these are responsibilities of the local university council at the DHBW. Miriam Häring now has a voice in all of these issues.

In Villingen-Schwenningen, this decision-making body is supplemented by an additional six members from the professional sector, the dual partners, in addition to the chairperson, the deputy chairperson and representatives of the DHBW. Together with Birgit Hakenjos-Boyd, President of the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Miriam Häring is the representative of the Faculty of Business. "The university works cooperatively with the participating companies, which is a win-win situation for everyone. The specialists and managers of tomorrow need a practically-oriented education that builds on a stable theoretical knowledge foundation. We have a responsibility to provide such training and keep our finger on the pulse," says Miriam Häring, explaining her ambition.

With its industrial studies program - a new study initiative at Furtwangen University (HFU) - Anton Häring KG has already demonstrated that training the specialists and managers of tomorrow can take the courage to try something new. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Häring, president of Anton Häring KG, is involved in this as a program advisor on the board of the HFU's sponsoring association. All the more pleased his wife is now to hold an office at the DHBW: "We have been working with the DHBW for many years, even longer than with the HFU. It's nice to have such a strong connection to both universities."

With Miriam Häring, the DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen has a voice from the business world on the university council, who has been a strong advocate for the education and training of junior staff in-house for years. "The shortage of skilled workers is acute. But Baden-Württemberg is known for its ability to innovate. We have to work with that - and it starts with training the next generation of employees. Many of our current executives started with an apprenticeship or a degree program with us and have stayed to this day."
