Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Häring, President and Owner of the Häring Group, was invited as a business representative from Suzhou. The goal of the meeting was to intensify exchanges with foreign experts and promote collaboration between China and the international community.
Seventy experts from around the world were invited to present their ideas on China’s economic development and reform policies. The symposium, organized by the State Council, took place on the eve of the Chinese New Year. In addition to senior economic representatives, including officials from Volkswagen, BMW, Airbus, and AVIC Helicopter, technology and economics professors, high-ranking UN officials, the chairman of the China-European Chamber of Commerce, and renowned researchers in the field of biodiversity participated. Around 20% of the guests were from German-speaking countries, highlighting the close economic ties and providing a foundation for future collaboration between China and Europe.
Recognition and Future Prospects
"The invitation to this symposium is a great honor and acknowledges our long-standing work in China," said Jürgen Häring. "In 2019, I was already honored with the Jiangsu Friendship Award, the highest award for foreign experts in China. The exchange with senior representatives from politics and business allows us to set new inspiration for cooperation between China and Germany."
In his speech, Jürgen Häring expressed gratitude for the support from the Taicang and TEDA city administrations and highlighted achievements in their collaboration. He emphasized that the economic development in Taicang had seen a 7% growth in 2024 and expressed hope that the government would continue to increase investments in education. In addition to his speech, he submitted a written contribution with development proposals and visions for future cooperation to Premier Li Qiang.
Expansion and Innovation
"We will use the symposium to further expand our core business in the automotive sector in Taicang and explore new markets in the field of kinetic energy. This includes innovations in transportation, the use of drones, and partnerships in aerospace. Furthermore, we aim to use artificial intelligence to further enhance our competitiveness and quality."
The invitation to this symposium confirms our commitment and achievements in China. We look forward to deepening our cooperation and advancing forward-looking projects together.
